Cuban Cohiba is best Cohiba.....I'm having a 5 Vagas 'Cask Strength' stick tonight an 3 fingers of Bulliet Rye. This is after a dinner of Jerked Chicken Kababobs with corn on the Cobb with garlic butter and Cuban-Style black beans with a few drops of El Yucatero Carribean Sauce.
Got a lot done today... -Grass cut -Weeds pulled/Weed eat'ed -Trimming bushes -Cleaned up the yard -Worked on screening part of the deck It was a good day, I didn't have to use my AK. |

I was greeted by this when I just now opened my humidor. I don't go in it often, and it's generally TOO dry which it is right now. The mold must have been from when I added distilled last. Is that plume? Plume is good but I cant remember why.
I taughht 5yr old grandson about fire, starting fires, maintaining a fire, and puttinh out a fire. After my shower I'll enjoy a LaGloria and some Laphroig. A good end to the weekend. |

Nope, not plume. Mold is NEVER a good thing. Generally, the white-ish mold is harmless to people though. Plume is never (at least I've never seen it) spotty.
ETA I've had GREAT results using the beads and a cooler. I haven't had mold in YEARS |

Your cohiba is 100% fake, and not even a good one. The label will give it away everytime.. Also, they are premium cigars, and the wrapper alone looks like garbage on that one you have. Sorry bro.

Had a little plume on some awhile back. Fortunately I haven't had any mold
I'm using my cookie jar and a boveda packet in it. Put a piece of thin cedar in the bottom but I don't think it does much. So far I'm good to go on everything. |
|
Definitely mold on the one Monte and the Punch. Can't see it in the pics but are the sticks covered with fine green hairs? If so they could be ruined, you'll need to check the filler to be sure (sacrifice a cigar or two and cut open to examine for inner mold -- if it looks good you can try smoking them if you're adventurous). Fine white powder is plume, it's the dried oil residue from the sticks. If you don't monitor your cigars semi-regularly and allow them to dry completely several times, it's likely that they aren't worth smoking anyway. If you want to keep sticks for the long haul with almost no maintenance find some tupperware, a decent sized Boveda pack at 65% (you can go higher) and stick it all (cigar boxes too, so the cedar can absorb ammonia) in a cool <70F closet that does not touch any outside wall of your home. You should also buy a decent hygrometer, I prefer the Caliber III or IV models. Very reliable and under $20.
Good luck. |

That looks like the old style label, one they haven't used since ~2003/2004. I'd lean towards it being fake, the majority of 'Cuban Cohibas' are fake.
