Do people really believe that the FBHO administration isn't blackmailing members of the SC, Congress, and who knows who else to get their way? The R's control both houses of Congress and we lose, and the SC has instantly shifted left. They have potentially damaging info on anyone they want at their fingertips and president fuckface would, and is using that to his advantage. Democracy and the rule of law are dead.

Did you really think that DOMA was going to be upheld? Or that Roberts was going to reverse himself on (fuck)Obamacare?

On the other hand, never ascribe to conspiracy what can be explained by stupidity. |

Absolutely, but they don't call it blackmail. It's just exercising leverage.

Its EXACTLY how OBAMA won his first seat of power...he illegally got the SEALED divorce records...NASTY divorce records of his opponent unsealed and released it to the press...It worked then...

If it makes you feel better to believe that members of Congress and members of the Supreme Court have to be forced to act the way they do, then by all means do so.
That's less painful than realizing the truth of the matter. |

LOL
That couldn't possibly be true. It would be against the law. |

Sure, they have access to basically everything information-based, and sure they could pull up something to use for leverage against basically anyone in the states, but to think they would use that against a SCOTUS judge or elected official? Why, that's just crazy talk. Crazy. Yep. Would never happen. Ever. No way. |

You don't need all of them to be compromised. Only a few key ones. Like Boehner. Or Roberts. And you only need to lean on them every now and then. And there are all sorts of things that can be used as leverage. Illegal and under the table contributions. Extramarital affairs. Closet homosexuality. An interest in underage girls. Etc. |

Did you really think that DOMA was going to be upheld? Or that Roberts was going to reverse himself on (fuck)Obamacare? View Quote We all knew gay marriage was going to be upheld as soon as SCOTUS agreed to take the case. Roberts wouldn't have been reversing himself if he ruled the subsidies on 0bamacare illegal based on plain language - he would have been consistent with his first ruling that it wasn't the job of the court to fix what Congress did (an incorrect ruling based on the fact that the guy who signed it is on video saying it wasn't a tax but he found it to be a tax anyway). I wouldn't be surprised if Boner & McConnell asked him to uphold it since they have no interest in actually repealing it or defunding it - they definitely didn't want to have to vote to make the illegal subsidies legal because it would be a lot of ammunition in the next primary. |

Its the Shitcago way..... The problem with the NSA "system" is, it is still operated, monitored by humans. And when you get minions who believe the end justifies the means, who feel they aren't held accountable to a higher power except the Party, that so-called "meta data" and other illegally accrued information, can be illegally passed on to those who can use that information to further the Progress of their Party's goals. |

You don't have to prove you are a citizen to vote ya say. How mother fucking convenient.

Its fall in-line (GenPetraeus) or end-up swinging from a tree while on a hike (chef)
Ya I know, loosen the tinfoil, to think this could happen with our all-American, law abiding, and highly ethical Administration, with its current and former comrades, is just absurd and preposterous. |

He wasn't expected too and had a sudden change of heart. Not to mention his legal argument for the court last week was exactly the opposite for being against gay marriage, but grasped at straws for Obamacare. It doesn't add up. I do think they got to him somehow. As far as Congress, I don't think that it there they are just a bunch of pathetic spineless RINOs. |

Blackmail against members of Congress has been used since the ealry 1800's.
Does anyone really think that anyone from any political party would not use any and all available means to put pressure on members of Government to achieve their goals? Look what FDR did to the Supreme Court in the 1930's, to the chagrin of his own Attorney General. |
|
Roberts has an adoption they are holding over his head, he is compromised because who wants to lose a kid. They've got him by the short & curly's, and I have zero doubt they leverage it.
http://mrconservative.com/2013/05/16722-was-chief-justice-roberts-blackmailed-into-supporting-obamacare-maybe/ "the Obama administration may have threatened to take Roberts’ children away from him. You see, they’re not his biological children. Instead, the Chief Justice and his wife adopted them in 2000. Roberts has never talked about the circumstances of their adoption, which is perfectly understandable, given the privacy such a personal transaction deserves." |

Hoover stayed around as long as he did and it was not because of his charming personality. |

The severity of an accusation endows it with a credibility in excess of its veracity.
So, there's really nothing do debate, pretty standard stuff, actually. |

What would Frank Underwood do with the ability to read the email of any person in the world?
The only question is how badly are things being abused. |
|
The problem is, regardless of whether or not it's happening, the fact that it's possible means that we can not trust any of them for as long as the domestic spying capability exists to the extent that it does. There's simply no way to ever know if they're being coerced until and unless one of them gets the balls to make it public.

Rule of law has been dead for years. Neither the courts, nor either party in Congress care. Key leaders of Congress have long been bought & paid for by the special interests. Massive secret blackmail schemes? Unnecessary. It only appears crazy because some people haven't yet got used to the reality that they live in a banana republic with kangaroo courts. They're corrupt, as feckless as any third-world dungheap. Occams Razor applies, as well as the old maxim, "Never ascribe to malice that which can adequately be explained by incompetence."

Small time thinking folks.
You don't need dirt on everyone. You don't even need dirt on anyone. You need dirt on the Corporations, the Banks, the system itself. In this world, you leak something and it can all come crashing down. You don't have to put a face together and narrate it. Obama doesn't have to stutter and stammer through some bullshit speech an aid wrote. You just drop a file in an appropriate forum and let it do it's thing. Maybe it's an email exchange between Fed Reserve officials talking about how they are fucking allies of the nation or key trade partners. Maybe it's a diplomatic wires that spell out who sold who weapons, or who let who into the country to carry out an attack. It could be any number of things that shatter the fragile little confidence game that has been built since inception and went into overdrive in 1972. Hell, you could simply confirm a rumor about a major bank and turn your social media warriors loose and ruin them, causing massive contagion and a failure of the money supply. Or, it could be nothing. They have nothing. But they have the NSA and everyone has secrets. Maybe they just put the fear of skeletons only you know about to play in your mind. After all. You are a politician or lackey. You just want to maintain your position, make money, make connections, and eventually stand at the levers of power..... |
