I got a new car a few days ago, a 2001 Nissan Sentra, everything loaded.  Nice little car, but brought to mind a few things:

1.)  I've got a 150hp Inline-4 Engine, which is big for a 4.  Apparantly next years models are going to have **170 and 180hp** on Inline-4 blocks...INLINE FRIGGIN FOUR!  How the hell...?? That's just not right.

2.)  Do they make AR15.com bumper stickers or car window decals?  We need to start gettin' to work on some of this, my AL FOP sticker is getting old and lonely.

3.)  Need suggestions for a AR15 related license plate.  So far I've come up with AR15, AR15A2, M15A2, AR15223, and AR15Jew.  I personally am thinking about using the last one, but what are some other nifty ideas?

4.)  French people piss me off.  "Frogs"? I mean cmon get a real prejudice nickname for God's sake.

5.)  Who listened to my radio show tonight?  Anybody?

6.)  Did I mention French people already?

I need a life...not to mention a woman, two beers and a better paying job.

Well yeah, sure I learned that back in auto shop.  But the GM cars and blocks we dealt with, well, I'm sorry but fitting 180hp in a straight-4 was unheard of!  The first thing I would think of is adjusting the cam size and the timing cycle, just like you said.  But you can only do so much w/o causing massive emissions (of course, this is where the muffler comes in).  Still, it amazes me.  Of course, I'm sure lasers will one day flawlessly replace AR15's and I will be moreso flabergasted.  I'll just accept technology with open arms and keep on keepin' on

Im not sure but I think that GMs quad 4 dohc was way up there in hp 180 sounds right but Im not sure. I have a 73 fiat 124 and before it got the v 8 I palyed with the 4 and it started life with 92 rear wheel hp and after new carbs,header,porting, advance timing gears and a crane hyperfire brain box it was up to 136 at the rear.

Yeah, we never dealth with anything above DOHC, and we worked mostly on carburated and thus non-fuel injected cars

Honda's S2000 puts out 250 hp and it's a normally aspirated 4 banger, that is truly disturbing. Subaru's WRX in Europe and Japan are putting out upwards of 450 hp out of a turbo charged flat 4.

I refuse to own a car with less than 6 cylinders. They are just no fun without having to rev the hell out of them.

One more 4-cylinder item: ever drive a Porsche 944? You'd SWEAR the thing had a V-8 in it.  And the only reason we didn't let the Germans keep france is because it wouldn't have been long before they cried for us to take it back, anyway.

As for the license plate. how about : "Eat Sh*t, you Nazi B*st*rd, Come and get me, I'll be the Jew with the F*cking GUN!" Too bad it wouldn't fit.

1. Ford Focus SVT will supposedly be making 170hp this year.  I *think* that's normally aspirated, could be wrong.  Who cares if it's right, as long as it goes...fast.

2. I think the bumper sticker would get us on the Profiled list pretty quick [:(] but sounds like fun.

4. The French don't just suck, they gargle, swallow, and burp.
