As some of you know I am a filmaker/editor.
Last year I cut a show for the American Veteran's Center Honors program; "The first and only televised awards show honoring those who deserve it most – our military men and women from across the generations – The American Veterans Center Honors will be filmed this Veterans Day weekend in Washington, DC. Recognized will be heroes of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, along with those who have served on the front lines in today’s military. This moving and powerful program is the only one of its kind, and poised to become a tradition for decades to come." 
Just got a call from the producer asking if I wanted to go to the Mid Atlantic Awards dinner with him and his crew as we got an Emmy nomination for the program. So I'm kind of floored. Doesn't mean we WON, just nominated, and hey, if we don't win, we will be in good company, like Susan Lucci. 
UPDATED We won! Wow, definitely the highlight of my career! I'm just kind of on cloud 9 right now.
