Buddy was shooting his HK91 this weekend while I was helping someone else about 4 stations down.

All of a sudden, a high velocity .308 shell nails me right in the teeth on the left side of my mouth.  Man that hurts, I'm surprised I didn't chip a tooth.  I don't think I had my glasses on at the time, so I got lucky.

Talk about high velocity, those ejected shells are nearly lethal.  This gun was throw shells a good 50 feet at high velocity.

sounds like he needs to install an ejection port buffer.  The buffer will deflect the shell out to 1:30 - 2:00 direction.   I've been dinged many a time. Thank goodness for eye and ear protection. . .

I got a HK 91 a couple of weeks ago at the Tulsa show.  Took it to the range the next weekend.  I thought the brass was bouncing off the wall of the stall I was firing from & hitting me in the head.  It was the scope!  I was using the iron sites under the high mount & turned out the scope was too large for the 91.
