With meds to put into recession and multiple people completely cured it will hopefully be a thing of the past.

It's sort of turned into a manageable long-term chronic illness for many patients (if they take the medicine). The regimes and highly-active anti-retrovirals are MUCH better now than what they used to be.
We don't see nearly the horrors of full-blown AIDS that we did in the late eighties and early nineties. |

I'm with the op, there should have been a stiffer penalty. To me deliberately infecting someone with HIV should be considered attempted murder at the least.

Should have gotten life in prison.
Actually the victim should have been allowed to kill him, but failing that, life is the only reasonable sentence. |
