Last night we get a call from my wife's brothers wife. She had been driving in circles past all the terminals at the Sea-Tac airport looking for my wife's brother who was supposed to be there around 7pm. My wife asked her what flight number, didn't know, what airline, didn't know, brother also doesn't have a phone and no money. Who goes to the airport that size and not know these things?
 Brother had that information before he left last week and nobody thought they might share it with each other.......edit to add. My wife was going to call the people he had been visiting in the Nashville area and see if they had any flight information. She could not get any info so calls idiot brother's wife back and her cell phone goes to voice mail. This is the same person who put a roof on their house that cost more than the house was appraised for........ |

Reading is a learned skill. Many people are illiterate.
Higher order thinking functions do not happen by chance. They are either strengthened through opportunities to use them in situations that promote their use, or they wither and die due to disuse and neglect. People who cannot read and cannot synthesize and apply what they have read do not fare well in a modern society. People who cannot use their higher order thinking skills to find new meanings, develop alternative solutions, or solve complex problems end up doing nothing but littering the land with their progeny and propagate the next generation of dolts. Unfortunately, the majority of people fall into this category and thus are doomed to either fail in life, or serve as a warning to others. |
