In the past few days, I have gained respect for this guy. As a young boy, I would often watch him on TV. Being a conservative but also at times a bleeding heart, I can relate to him. Now, most of you far right have no respect for him but he has earned my respect.

I enjoyed him talking smack to the Crypts and Bloods and really giving it to them.

I enjoyed his rational sense made about justice.

I love his affection towards the police officers and LE.

I hate Geraldo. He's a bleeding heart liberal POS. The best thing he could do for me is get shot or have his leg blown off on live TV in a war zone, which has almost happened to him. Occasionally he is right about something, but it has far more to do with a broke clock being right twice a day than anything to do with his beliefs.

ETA: I was going to post an April Fool's thread with the title, "Breaking: Geraldo Seriously Injured on Turkish/Syrian Border". It would have been a delicious thread but I know fake threads are a no-go.

I'd say he has definitely paid his dues in his industry, and has never been afraid to get his hands dirty or venture into potentially dangerous situations for his profession. That said, he has often said things that make me literally hate him. But as a reporter - the throwing of chairs in tacky talk shows aside - he has certainly "been there and done that", all over the globe.

That stupid fucker had fat sucked out of his ass and injected into his lips on live TV! Anybody else watch that? It was either '95 or '97, I worked at this one particular place twice and remember about forty employees all gathered in the lunch room with our jaws hanging open in disbelief.

He got his pee-pee slapped tonight. He went into one of his typical Gerald frenzies when Baltimore police started enforcing the curfew, crying out, "the beatings have begun". About twenty minutes later Baltimore PD pulled him off the air in the middle of a live broadcast. He was told the commander was demanding to speak to him. He was back on the air half an hour later with a much cooler demeanor. Whatever they said it apparently made an impression.

I grew up watching him. I remember his much anticipated broadcast opening Al Capone's vault. It was empty. It crushed him, he was off the air for quite a while then came back maybe a couple of years later with one of the first tabloid ghetto talk shows.
