I'm not in favor of warning shots when the attackers' intentions are so clear.
I don't recall any uproar over that video either. Was that the news creating news instead of reporting it? |

Screw warning shots. I would rather hide until they were well within range and then eliminate all the pirates on that ship. Enough go missing and it may just slow down the piracy some. |

I agree this falls under "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes". The fewer pirates that collect money, the fewer that will want to try it.

I can see 5.56 mm firearms for short range, but for stand off they should be armed like the Rooskies with belt fed .50 cal plus? How about some 20 mm Oerlikons or 40 mm Bofors from WW II?
