Anyone have the chance to tear up any old electronics?  Hell of a time.  Most of the shooting was done with my AR (.223) with some .22s thrown in for good measure

No, but I have an old HP printer/scanner I hate and would love to see it get shot up. I'll ship it to you if you want to film shooting it.

I think it'd be interesting to see them have a few rounds put through while still plugged in.  I think the last time these two worked was around 2002

I guess I'm just not into leaving shattered glass all over the range.

It's over our burn pit.  It's scorched earth for most of the summer.

ETA:  Burn pile and spot would be a better way to put it

A friend of mine along time ago shot a TV with his .40 once.  It didn't penetrate which he was thankful for since the big picture window in the living room was directly behind it. He said it was loud in the house with no ear protection.

12ga slugs do very well against them

Only ever done that with a slingshot, the weekend before I went off to basic.

My uncle put a few through the "carcasses".  Awesome sound to it, from what I could hear through my plugs at least.

Hopefully that part of the pasture never has to feed animals or gets plowed into the farm field.

I was kind of thinking that as well. One quick drive-by with farm machinery would put a berm up.

I shot one up with a .38 once. It was fun.

A range I used to go to had been used for years to shoot up old tvs and stuff. They tried to discourage it, but shit happens.  When they finally restricted access to members, the asshattery mostly stopped. After a few years all the glass had been pretty well pounded back into sand.  Can't speak to the heavy metals, though.

Did it once, never do it again, shooting up old electronics.
Shooting those stuff could be fun, the cleanup afterwards sure is not.

That was a pain in the ass, but got it done.  Hopefully the 15 foot pile of pallets and other debris will burn hot enough to melt what we missed

Gotta put a tarp down first, the cleanup sucks

That's a good idea.  I'll have to wait until the next generation of TVs come out to shoot the current ones up.  They're a lott wider at least so I might be able to use an AK to hit them

Many times, but cleanup is always a bitch.

Your land, your decision.

I've seen people get shooting areas on public land closed down from shooting up monitors and glass stuff...then just leave it. We also got kicked off some farm lands we used to shoot on because people were shooting glass and leaving shit all over. Farmer finally got a belly full of cleaning up after the shit-heels and just posted the land.

I delight in smashing old CRT monitors in the trash compactors at work....even though such is verboten.  Still, nothing more satisfying that when it crumples into a pile of hazardous debris.

I destroy all manner of junk on my range. It all becomes part of the backstop eventually.
