Yes, the saving grace in the video I originally saw, they were smart and only loaded one round in it to prevent the "accidental suicide". he did shoot it again and properly hold onto it the second time. when we have newbies shoot the big boys, we always load just one round until they can prove they can handle the recoil. |

The load one round technique is good for any new shooter.
I've had brand new shooters do some unusual and sometimes dangerous things after firing their first round. And I was glad I had only loaded one round when it occurred. |

First few rounds I put through my DE in 50ae, I just had one round in it. That thing was a beast. I can't imagine a 500s&w. |
