Last night, Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis was assaulted by 20 to 30 masked anarchists while dining with his SO, Danae Stratou, and some friends at a restaurant in the Athens neighborhood of Exarcheia. He was saved from serious injury when Danae wrapped him in a bear hug and the miscreants did not want to hit a woman. The couple then left on their motorcycle.

The Exarcheia neighborhood, located in central Athens between the University and the Polytechnic, has long been a stronghold of the anarchist movement. It was somewhat foolhardy of Varoufakis to go there without his assigned police escort.

Sheeit, I found Greece's problem. Their finance minister is a biker; he probably wasted all the money on booze, chrome bits, & tattoos

I'd make fun of their finance minister, but then I think of our foreign minister's idiotic actions....

As a matter of fact Tanagra is a Greek air force base outside of Athens. They do a lot of aircraft maintenance there.
