Meaning not anodized

I think it would make a cool show piece.

A nice shiny AR polished like a jewel would be pretty neat.

JSE Surplus had some sets, upper and lower, last year. You might watch them. They weren't priced that bad.

ETA: I don't remember the brand.

I saw an upper/lower in the white just today. Let me see if I can find it in my browser history.

ETA: My Bad, it was a nickel-boron finish on a .308 AR upper/lower on Primary Arm's website. It looked white when I glanced at it.

This. Send it off to get polished, then clear coat of some kind. Might make it last longer.

I have seen "in-the-white" upper and lower receivers  - Centerfire Systems comes to mind - and of course you could use a stainless steel barrel.

It might look cool to do something like that with black furniture.. or maybe wood.

Throw it down the driveway a few times and apply sandpaper for the worn look. It'll turn white.

This. I've seen many polish paint guns, but aluminum is soft and will scratch up quick..

IIRC there is both clear anodizing and a silver dye for anodizing you can use. But colored anodizing isn't as deep penetrating or as hard as black anodizing.

That sounded a little gay, sorry.

New Frontier Armory was a site sponsor here for a long time.  They machine their own billet uppers and lowers, among other things.  They offer their uppers in the white.  Since they control the manufacturing process, I'm sure they could help you to get a matching billet lower from them in the white.  Shoot them an email and let them know what you want.

They called it ColtGuard (electroless nickel plate)

Colt made them on a limited run for the US Coast Guard ("Colt Guard")

A few of them actually made it out to the public...one of them is sitting in my safe (thus the name "pale_pony"...)
