2003 closing in on a quarter million miles. Regular maintenance, oil changes, batteries, tires etc. New water pump a few years ago, that's it.

94 4runner, still going strong. I rebuilt rear end after tearing up my ring and pinion.
Currently looking for a 3rd or 4th generation for the wife. |

2007 GMC SIERRA extended cab 4x4 with a 5.3L
218,523 miles. original except for normal wear/tear parts, couple of airbag sensors, brake light switch..... Oh and the speakers rotted away. Still looks damn good too. Oh is this a Toyota thread? |

My dad ran 2 tacos on the logging roads baiting for bears back in the day. Said he got close to 100,000 miles of logging road miles on one of them before it broke down. All he ever has is a tacoma for a daily driver. They don't leak and last till the frame rots.
I still give him shit about it though.

2006 Tundra with 130K.....I really hope it lasts to 250 or even 300K. I NEED it to.
Lost the rack and pinion and a high pressure line. Other than that, no problems. |

2008 Tundra w/ 89k. Rear wheel bearings replaced under warranty. New brake pads. Numerous light bulbs.

I had an 89 4x4 pickup that had over 300k when the speedo cable broke and I lost track of the mileage. I drove it for years after that then sold it to a guy I worked with who used it for his daily driver. Im on my 8th toyota now. I fucking love them.

2003 FORD f250 5.4, 213,000 miles. plugs changed twice, all gear / tranny oil changed twice. Drive belt at 100,000. 1 Alternator.

04 F150 218,000 miles and counting. That SOB has cost me hundreds in repairs since I bought it new. Hundreds.
I probably drive like OP's mom, though. Assuming she has towed near, at, and over GVWR for thousands of miles with her Toyota. |

'92 extended cab. It was my wife's choice for a work car for it's first ten years. It only has 230k but has its share of dings and dents & now some rust. It gets used hard on Interstate and mountain gravel & dirt roads. It has had a new clutch 5 or 6 years ago and a couple rebuilt front suspensions over its life. 'Til death do we part. So what did I spend my money on that I saved from 20 years of new truck payments? You guessed it.

06 Lexus is250 with 141k, still running strong as ever, regular il changes every 10k and plugs changed once, besides regular wear items, only thing that sucks is that since it has a staggered stance i have to buy new tires since i cant rotate them. But i love this car, if it gets me to 200k, ill buy a GS.

Meh they're ok but not as great as everyone thinks they are. I had a 91 and everyone says the 22 're is a great engine but I wonder if they ever think about the plastic timing chain guide or it's propensity to leak oil from every god dam Seal it has. Anyway mine made it to 208 b4 I got sick of dumping money into the pos. It's kinda funny cause my gf had a 95 mustang and I always said it was a pos. Her mustang now has 328k and is still going. I sold my truck for 100 bux just to get it out of my driveway. Point being u never know.

In the great white frozen wastes up here a Toyota returns to the earth as rust fairly rapidly. |

2006 4Runner with 109,000 miles and it's like new. I did the 100,000 mile service and the tech said I should easily get 300,000 considering how well it's maintained. I love not having a car payment.

Good trucks but highly overrated. I enjoyed my 1983 4x4 for the 2 years I owned it. It could get over 55mph on a downhill and I'm only 6' tall and had to squeeze into that thing. It could go anywhere, though. But I'll never own another Toyota or any other Jap shit.

Transmission out with 4 fluid changes at 70,000 Head gasket out at 75,000 Extreme cab rot at 100,000 Fuck Chevy I have owned 13 Nissans and never another Chevy. .

had a toyota sr5, it ate a 5 speed trans at around 120,000. bought a 1998 ford f150 5.4L/auto 4wd at a ritchie bros auction with 50 000 miles, it came from the oil patch. it now has 300 000 miles and has its mostly original drivetrain. 5 batteries, 4 brake jobs, 2 serpentine belts, 2 alternators, 2 diff flushes/refills, 3 trans flushes/refills, 1 u joint, 1 front wheel bearing, 1 left rear axle seal, 2 sets spark plugs, and I lost track of the engine oil and air filter changes. it's rusty and ratty, looks like mad max's beater ride, but it just keeps going.

1986 4x4 extra cab, 130 miles a day, odometer died 3 years ago at 378k. The oil pump got changed last month, a few sets of shocks, and a lot of dirt roads later and its still going strong.
1998 4x4 4Runner, 45 miles a day, 214k miles. Needs a new front wheel bearing, but that will be the first real repair on it. 1991 4x4 extra cab. 632k miles, died a bad death by fire. Rats nest on the exhaust manafold caught fire, ended up burning the truck to the ground. Most of its life was on the ranch, off road, with a Lincon pipe boss and air compressor mounted on the back. 2010 GMC 64k miles, engine siezed thanks to a dropped valve, all the cab trim squeeked, nothing was covered under warrentee, wonderful experiance. Sent it down the road asap. |
