An Alabama man was arrested Thursday after allegedly attacking his grandmother inside her home, knocking her to the floor and poured rubbing alcohol down her throat.
Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at 11 a.m. Thursday to an emergency room at UAB West hospital to talk to the 93-year-old woman, who later indicted the suspected attacker was her grandson.
The woman said her grandson, 21-year-old Richard Alexander Coleman, was in a mask demanding money from her. Coleman then allegedly grabbed the woman by the neck and threw her to the floor before punching her several times in the face.
The man continued to demand money from the woman and when the woman said she did not know where her billfold was, he poured rubbing alcohol down her throat and punched her in the face once more, police said.
