No 7x57? Fail. Although the 45-70 description is uncomfortably close... |

3. .30-’06 Springfield
You’re the first born child, the apple of mommy’s eye. Although you never made the Dean’s list, mama hung every one of your art projects on the fridge, proud as a peacock. You did pretty well in life, and although you may not be the shining star you once were, you’re as loyal as a mutt, consistent and trustworthy. Modern bullets have given you a new lease on life, sort of like Viagra or Just For Men gel. |

Obviously the author is no fan of the AR platform, and likely a Fudd.

What? No 303 British? No 6.5x55?
Well...I do like 375 H&H...but I also like 416 Rigby |
I think many here could have come up with something far more clever than that.
lol@ 308Win. Not a middle child, but yep to the rest. Last line is so true.
That article sucked. I seriously can't believe I spent brain bytes reading it.
My favorite was .375 H&H.
Certainly not for the reasons in the article, as a matter of fact the exact opposite. My reason was that Brown bears and Moose in AK are quite large, I was simply leveling the playing field. Except the belt part, he's right there. |

Fucking waste of time.
OP should feel bad for posting a link to such a piece of shit. |
No .257 Roberts Ackley Improved? I can't blame them, but I wanted to be denigrated by some random gun writer too.
I could shit a better article out. he forgot way to many cartridges like x39, 303, the 6.5 cartridges, 7.5 swiss, and a lot more im really surprised about the no x39. and author seems like a full on fudd

You are the middle child, the defiant one, who always lives in the shadow of your older brother, the ’06, but the two of you don’t speak at family parties. Although you aren’t mommy’s first born, you still strive to earn love and respect, hoping one day the family will realize you’ve been drilling distant targets like a boss for decades now. You’ll never be your older brother, and you couldn’t care less. i'm the middle child, but i dont have an older brother. article is whey ghey |

No 762x54r? Why does the author hate poor people? View Quote 9. 7.62x54R You strive to one day grow a full beard and live in a house that didn't once have wheels. You dream of the day you find an original 1912 cartridge belt that will fit your 44 inch waist but you know that will never happen. One of these days you'll save up enough of your fibromyalgia disability money to send your cousin(you know the one who hasn't yet picked up a domestic violence, felony, or drug conviction) to the gun store to pick up that SKS you always planned to put in a folding stock, add a 30 round magazine to and mount a crappy scope on the dust cover. |

I'm a .223, but the article lacks the venerable 30/30. Fuck dat.

No 30-30, super fail. View Quote 30-30 owners... You are so proud of the fact that you were the first of the 30's. You were actually born fully formed at 42 years old and were never a child who chased speed or precision. In fact, you are a "good enough" kinda guy. The guy who still drives his 1972 ford pickup 4x2 because it still works. Yeah, there are better options, but this is good enough. Plus, you know that that model 94 will literally never wear out. Never. You also still don't own a cell phone, or a house phone, and you probably won't read this, unless I hand write it on a piece of paper and mail it to you because you don't have a computer. Technology is bad and dangerous. You also still daily carry a revolver chambered in 45LC. That being said, I so want a 30-30. And a revolver. |

What does 50 BMG say? View Quote You are the guy who knows what works. And overkill works. Nothing says dead like making something extra dead. You are the guy that says "30 caliber? Never heard of her". You are youngest child in your family. You also drive the largest truck. Something like an F-650 extra super double extended crew cab super long bed. Because nothing says compensating for something like heading to the range with your 70lb rifle that barely fits in the extended long bed of your $140k vehicle to sling $5 bills at $.25 pieces of paper. But at the end of the day, you know no one has a bigger round at the range than you. That paper is extra dead and that makes you happy. |
