People with Stalin's boot on their throats, who had family he sent to Siberia to die, still screamed and cried when that son of a bitch died.

Communism is a disease.

For starters, For anyone to be well off and actually own their own businesses, they have to be well connected to the government, specifically be a member of the Communist Party.
Think of being an involved member of the NRA, contributing and being known among other party remember type of thing, or being close friends with one. My family over there has NO
chance in hell of ever owning something  like this. They rather live in a shanty house and eat scraps than to praise communism. That guy in the video would not last 5 minutes in Miami
among the exiled cubans and would be found in a storm drain.

If you want to survive, do well. and provide for your family. You have to suck a lot of dicks. Kin dove like American Media sucking Obama cock. except if you don't do it sufficient, it can be fatal.
This is sortove a look into our future, as the only business owners left will be those connected to the liberal party of America while conservatives will be squeezed out of existence.

What's the deal on the "normalize relations" with Cuba thing?  Is this just a way for journalists and celebrities to go to Cuba without a second passport and Canada travel?

It's so Sean Penn can take a selfie with Raul Castro's dick in his mouth and praise their great society and not have to take a few extra connecting flights.

ETA... not fast enough.

I don't understand the reasoning behind idolizing Marx in the exact same fashion as JC.

I'm starting to thing it was meant to be offensive, 'cause ya know, blasphemy.

As an American-Cuban, living in Miami, I can tell you that most Cubans are conservative with great dislike for the democratic party... Cubans are the only Hispanic group the liberals have not conquered yet and so they think this ploy of opening up Cuban and american relations again will win the Cubans vote.... This may work for younger Cubans as they seem to be more liberal, but then again aren't most young people anyways.
The older Cubans detest this and most say they will never go back to Cuba until the Castro regime is eliminated.

As to the Karl marx  and Jesus thing... they must just be dumb
TLDR: The admin is trying to win the Cuban vote with this "lets fix our relationship with cuba", little do they know that most Cubans are against it.

Has nothing to do with that... the current influx of Cubans were born under Socialism and a State Monopoly of Control. They come here for economic reasons now, not political reasons. They want to live the better material life and come to the USA. The moment they get here they want Welfare, Section 8 Housing, WIC, etc... because those benefits are better than what they got in Cuba. On top of that they work under the table and start cash only businesses.

The Cubans of my Generation (1980s) and my parents generation are the last Cubans that understand what Free Market Capitalism and Political Freedom is. Those in Cuba now are full blown socialists.

Yes, there are some that are still old school. I have some primos that are in the mountains and have their cache of weapons hidden along with their black market businesses. But the majority of Cubans are content with Socialism. They just want richer socialism. Like that in Western Europe.
