I met George Wallace when he was running for president.  Later on when he was shot it was found out the guy who shot him had been following him from place to place and had been in the crowd with us.  I slept with a girl who played a hooker in the movie Posse with Stephen Baldwin and Mario Van Peeples, does that count, I mean she may have also slept with Stephen Baldwin and he's the brother of that jerk Alec Baldwin who was married to Kim Basinger, so it's kinda like I slept with someone who had a connection to Kim, Right??????

1. Stood behind Chuck Norris at a Dallas Airport.

2.  Touched Billy Idols Boot at 1983 concert.

3.  Got within 15 feet of Elvis in 1977.  My Dad had me sneak through the crowd with a camera while he was boarding his plane.

4.  Had a copy of "Walking Tall" signed by Bufford Pusser sometime in the 70's.  Yeah, my Dad put me up to that one also.

I have worked security for everything under the sun and have met hundreds of famous people. Most of them are jerks with egos the size of Alaska. A few famous people I have met are grounded in reality and were nice to talk to, but no more nice to talk to then any other stranger.

The last person I spent any time with was larry Csonka. We talked about his new outdoor show up here.

I shook Clintons hand at the easter egg roll on the white house lawn 3 years ago. I don't really care for the man but the office he held was pretty cool. Funny though, I actually shook his hand on the white house lawn and I had a 4 inch pocketknife and about 12 keys in my pocket that didn't set the metal detectors off. Goes to show you how tight security really is with the pres

I saw Daryl(Moose) Johnston of the Dallas Cowboys at a grocery store a couple of years ago. He was there with his wife. Six feet tall and a serious babe. We also have Solomon Page of the Cowboys as a customer at the gun store I work at. Biggest man I ever met. And I have to agree with McUzi, Malmsteen rules!!!

1977: met Joey Kramer of Aerosmith at EU Wurlitzer (music store) in Boston. he was big into drugs at the time, and his skin was grey and his replies were mono-syllabic at best.

1980: Woody Allen stole my parking space I was trying to maneuver into in NYC. He combs his hair WAY over, so much so, that when the wind blew, it blew all his hair over to the other sied and revealed a gleaming "chrome-dome".

1982: Tried to sell Johnny Ramone a guitar at a club in MA, while he was playing pinball.

"Whatkinaguitaryagot?"

Les Paul.

"Iain'tgotnomoney. Tawktomymanajuh..."

Huh?

"TAWKTOMYMANAJUH_NOW LEAMEDEF#^$ALONE!"

OK, Johnny...take a chill-pill....

2001: was in New Orleans as a reenactor with a re-created British Army War of 1812 Rifles unit for the yearly celebration of the Battle Of new Orleans at Chalmette (Go there, if you've never been- a great place). We marched down the main drag of New Orleans in full kit, nobody so much as batted an eye. A gentleman with a moustache comes out, looks us over, says, "I see the British have arrived- good job, fellas." and moves on. It turned it it was Gerald McRaney from Major Dad, and we were walking by his house. Cool guy.

I've worked in the entertainment industry, as well as working at various Night Clubs in Hollywood. The list is close to endless.
I'll say I've swapped spit with more than a couple hollywood starlets, and had a handful of a certain 90210 star's @$$. Of course I've also met quite a few "adult entertainment" stars, also.

...all in a day's work...

I got to interview Carlos Hathcock for several hours at his home for a Veteran's Day article.
Also took Stephen Hunter (Author of Point of Impact, The Master Sniper, Time to Hunt, Black Light, etc.) out to the range, coached him on rifle field positions for elk hunting and then took him to his first 1000 yard rifle match.  Got to talk to G. Gordon Liddy for a few minutes after a speech he gave -- he was very pleasant, down to earth and unassuming.  I saw Lew Tippie at Oak Ridge but wasn't able to sneak up and touch the hem of his garment so some of his skill might rub off on me... [:)] and got Vince Greiner (national service rifle champion) to give me advice that really helped me in the leg match at Perry one year...  Had supper with Steve Miller of the Steve Miller band at Thunder Ranch (dammit, all he talked about was leasing airplanes, I wanted to hear about the groupies in the 70's!!) Oh, and I was in the front row of an AC/DC concert only 8 feet away from Angus Young not long ago --- YES!! [beer]

Which sections are Steves, and which sections are Alberts??

I have no idea.

Excellent! You've actually not only heard of but are familiar with "The Introduction"!
Anyway, I had to pop in the CD to get usable info for ya.  Albert Lee doubles Steve on the main rif of the song, and his solos are from 1:04 to 1:24 and from 1:45 to 2:05 approximately. Very Cool!! In this day and age, I had begun to think there wasn't any interest in actual composed music. There's a reason Guitar Player Magazine created the "Gallery of the Greats" - so that Steve wouldn't win Best Overall any more. He had won it for five years in a row before that. McUzi, you've just proved to me that you aren't the animal everyone here seems to think you are (although I still think you could make the same points with a little less abrasive language).
Chears Bro!!!!

My cousin Ritchie Kotzen use to play the guitar in the band Poison, until he started dating the drummers ex-girlfriend.  I also got to meet all the band members when I went to see my cousin in concert.  He ended up getting married to this girl and they had a baby girl together.  Well I don't think she's a baby anymore. They named her August Eve.  Last I heard they are divorced now.

I was in a cohort unit with Tim McVeigh & Terry Nichols.  Say what you want about McVeigh as a patriot/terrorist, but he was a pud in the pugil pit.  Can you say dazed, confused, and bleeding profusely from the mouth?

More along the lines of a local celebrity, an old school buddy of mine is now serving a life sentence for murdering his former girlfriend.  They found her body in a sinkhole after she had been missing for several years.

Met Gene Simmons once too - ugly sob!

Worked in Vegas for 8 years doing casino crimes. During that time I've seen all of the regulars that go to the big fights, and grand openings. Perhaps the most notible for my kids and I was when we went to a local picture show, and the young Iron Mike Tyson (before he became an asshole) was there with his young wife. My personal favorite regular's were Swartzneggar, Bruce Willis, and his EX-wife, and yes she is good looking along with some of the older hollywierd crowd.

Drove in Ronald Reagans motorcade when he was out stumping for George Bush in Detroit in 88.  Shook his hand. Very translucent skin and veiny but a POWERFUL handshake.

Drove in George Bush's (I) motorcade in Lansing Michigan and met Lee Atwater.  Talked to Bush (I) in 86 in Ann Arbor.  Part of an AFROTC group sent to greet him during his commeration of the 25 anniversary of the Peace Corps.

I met Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, AZ at my buddy's police academy graduation.

I met Joe Montana in a hotel elevator in Del Mar, CA. The guy who plays Jimmy on "The Practice" was checking out as I was checking in.

I used to babysit the kids of Secret Service Special Agent Tim McCarthy, who took a bullet for President Reagan when Hinckley went off. McCarthy was out jogging a week later. He was the Chief of Police of some city in Illinois, last I heard.

A buddy of mine worked lighting and sound on the Korn tour last year and got me an all-access pass. I met them, plus the guys from Pantera who came out to see the show, plus the dozen strippers they brought with them from the titty bar they own.

I met General Chuck Yeager at the Andrews AFB air show.

My Mom met the former Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Charles Krulak, at Marine Barracks 8th and I. She got to go to his house there for a reception for the SecNav. He signed one of his calling cards for me.

I met Brigadier General Ed McMahon, USMC (retired) of Johnny Carson fame. He brought his family through in a HUGE RV, and stopped into MCAS Yuma, AZ.

I sat one row back from the Reverend Jesse Jackson, Poverty Pimp Emeritus, on a Southwest flight from Ontario, CA to Oakland, CA. Some douchebag verbally polished his knob all the way there while Jesse tried to be polite.

John Doe, of the punk band X, gave me a Heineken at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia. Security threw me out for drinking from a glass container.

Semper Fidelis
Jarhead out.
