Not part of Catholic doctrine. Many Popes have apparently not been all that tight with the Almighty. That said, God does some pretty decent work with broken vessels sometimes.

OP is trolling and needs a timeout.
OP I am Catholic. The Pope is the head of the church. Peter, the first Pope or Bishop of Rome was very close to God. Man being man, is capable of and has perverted religion over and over again because man is sinful by nature. If you want to know which humans are closest to God read your bible and see whom he took straight to heaven. Then you'll know. I am pretty sure you don't really want to KNW anything. |

No! I don't need the pope to talk to God for me. He is my heavenly father and as such I go to Him and communicate directly.
