What version are you using? Try pressing F8 to turn off 'Extend Selection' in case you accidentally turned it on. If that doesn't work try zooming in and then back out, that is a fix for a bug in some versions where this happens.

sounds like you have a key stuck on your keyboard - click each of your modifier keys to make sure they are actuating properly (L Shift, L Ctrl, L Alt, R Alt, R Ctrl, R Shift)
ETA: I meant if mjrwood's suggestion doesn't fix it |

Tried changing from page view to normal and it stopped doing it.
Not sure what difference that would make, but it changed something. Thanks for the replies. Something must have been screwy... |
