This morning was exciting. Went out...flak and Kevlar, gloves, eye pro, ear pro. IFAK on hand. Safety vic on hand. Setup the 60mm mortar and...ready.
Or not. My limbs are all still attached, and I'm sure having a good day.      So....awesome day. Please wear eye and earpro at all times on the range, along with any other protective equipment your activities necessitate. Cheers! |

I don't generally play with H.E., but I did have an HK-91 fired case ricochet off a metal roof support post and bounce back hitting me squarely in the middle my right sunglass lens. Looking at the ding, it would have smacked me in the middle of my eyeball.

This was the initial test fire of my NFA registered 60mm mortar. The pink looking thing at the bottom is the mangled 28ga blank that was the base charge for the round. 75 grains of Titewad. Apparently I need to drill larger gas ports in the fins. |
