"What it (settlement) means is that we can officially put the Confederate identity behind us," university spokesman Steve Johnson told The Salt Lake Tribune. "Now the university can move forward."

The 80-year-old Anderson criticized the statue's removal from campus, saying the problem with the "world today is everybody is too politically correct."

They can send it to me! I have a prominent hill on a state highway in Dixie that would make an excellent location for it.  I'd even add night lighting.

That statue is awesome. I would display that in my yard and light it at night.

If by losing you mean the war is still on then pepper your angus, we thought we lost a long time ago. We have food and munitions now

And hell yes, i would love to have that. I am good friends with the artist that did the Fred Bear statue for Bass Pro Shops. The amount of time that is put into art like this is amazing.

How is removing a statue "trying to deny history"?  It is changing how a community or institution wishes to memorialize the past, but that is not "denying" the events of the past.
