About 2 months ago I read a gun magazine article, a custom maker was doing bolt guns and ammo in 14.5mm.

Doesn't he need to get a permit/license from All The Fun to do anything over 1/2 inch bore?

He may mean JDJ/SSK Industries.

Think they got a limited OK to build a 14.5mm one off, maybe 2.

As for nasty big bores I still want one of the 20MM bastards from Anzio.

Beats me, not that I could get one anyway.  My M82 already eats enough and I sure cant afford another big gun with a big appetite.

There was a guy that called Barrett once and asked us to build an 82A1  that would fire the 14.5x107. He said money was no object. Ronnie refused, said it wasn't worth it.

I don't blame him.  The handful he would have sold wouldn't have made it worth wile to set up a whole new production line...

Not if the caliber has a sporting use exemption. That's what allows US shooters to have the big Nitro Express calibers.
