Can't decide on what to get. I've got an AR, 10/22, Springfield 1911, P226, Ruger MKIII, and a Henry 22.
What I'm thinking about getting: Another AR (14.5 mid possibly) Glock 19 gen 4 WASR 10 AK Another 1911 (Probbly a Rock Island) Poll coming |
Glock if you're looking for a potential new carry piece and/or don't want a new caliber. WASR if you want something new for shits and giggles.
ETA: I picked up an NPAP over the WASR because a wanted a cheap underfolder. Not sure what your preference is though. |
Wow... I certainly don't vote for Glocks in polls very often, but I did here.
You need a smaller gun to carry (provided you have your permit... and if you don't WTF not? ). The G19 wouldn't be my pick for that role, put it is a damn good pick, and the only one you have on your list. So G19 it is. |
Personally I'd say PPQ but our of what you want I'd say G19. You done have a carry option
I'm helping the poll to look like it is shooting the middle finger.

None of the above. It's all boring, pedestrian shit.
Get a CZ P-01 or a Skorpion Evo 3 or something. |
You have pistols covered. IMO, you need a full powered precision rifle like a .308 bolt gun, or a decent 12g shotgun.

Anything but a glock. Glocks suck. JK get what you want. I am not a glock fan though
Your list is eerily like mine minus the glock. I am leaning towards the Canik TP9SA to be honest. I finally got to shoot one and wow it was very nice. I can get 1 of these and 10 extra mags for the price of the new Glock. I am just looking for a range toy/truck gun though. If it is a carry gun get something proven. |
Take this from a guy with like 45 guns. What you have is fine. Honest. A buddy of mine was talking to an instructor we know. Former Marine, former swat officer does big time security, like movie stars and protecting expensive artwork being moved. He has an ar15 and some kind of 40 caliber glock, that's it.
Read rusted ace's thread that was something like "modern knight" Take a southnarc class, save up for nightvision body armor and a suppressor

That's a good start, but several things jump out at me. First, no shotgun. What are you hunting flying game with? Second, what are you carrying concealed? The 226 is an excellent pistol, but I would want something for summer carry. Third, what are you carrying in the woods while hiking, camping or fishing? The 9mm is inadequate for NC bears, some of which can get to 800 lbs. Fifth, what are you hunting big game with?
So with the above in mind, I'd like to suggest 3 guns: Browning BPS 12 ga., S&W 442 .38 special, Ruger GP100 .357 magnum, Ruger American .30-06. In addition to what you have already, these should cover the spectrum of what you really need. You don't need another AR, 9 mm or 1911 and you sure as hell don't need a extra trash for the recycle bin. Don't be like that Rob Lowe. Years from now you don't want to look over your collection and ask yourself WTF did I buy that. |

Glock 19,
Sell the Sig and 1911 and to get another Glock 19 and AR Then Night Vision |
Dammit. I didn't want to vote G19 but I did...just get one and get it over with
I'm OTW to pickup my first Glock, a G4 19, today so I voted for that.
WASR or a Yugo.... I'd get one while they're cheap. I also have a feeling AK pistol prices will plummet the the new ruling on the Sig brace and people being scared

Another vote for a shotgun I don't shoot clays/trap and my HD gun is my AR. Why do I need a shotgun? A shotgun is good for bears and snakes and crows and all sorts of critters that would either be difficult to hit with a rifle or shrug off a small caliber hit. |

Every man should have a G19,just like every man should have a 1911.

Different tools in the toolbox is my approach. Once I have the basics covered then maybe expand into collecting stuff I like. Shooting clays is also great reactive training IMO. defensive carbine for 0-300Y/primary concealable handgun for CCW/secondary full size rifle for longer ranges and/or barriers shotgun for special purpose rounds/hunting/gaming |

Everyone should have a G19. I traded a 1911 for a G19 because I couldn't trust it to not jam after the first magazine. The Glock was 19 years old when I got it and it has only jammed once in six years and that was because I accidentally loaded a .40 in the mag.

The WASR is the only thing you don't have that's worth a damn.

of your choices I'd go with the 19
but you do need an AK and while its not cheap take a good hard look at an Arsenal SLR-107 |
I voted for AR just because... but suggest an AR10. Also saw you dont have a shotgun? Go for Remington 870 with both the HD barrel and longer hunting barrel. Admitidly I was never into shotguns, but just recently a friend invited me clay shooting and it was really really fun. I was suprised, and now kicking my self for not getting involved in it years ago.
