And now the Grammar Nazis reveal their final solution: all grammatically imperfect persons will be shipped off to camps and given a choice of being spaded with a hot poker or run through a wood chipper.
Such peaceful and tolerant handling of someone who made a spelling error. What would people like that have in store for someone they really disagree with? |

As long as we give people that misuse ellipses the same treatment, I'm down.

Meh. Using "'s" at the end of plural nouns is far more prevalent.

Correcting another man's grammar on a gun forum would make me feel like a little bitch.

Most people are in too much of a hurry to look over their writing before posting. I even check my text messages for mistakes. Especially since the spell check changes all of the cuss words.

"Yeah well, I should of went fishing".
"I certainly could of built that rifle." I have been noticing that much more lately, and by otherwise well written people as well. Kills me, but not enough to start a thread about it |

Spaded with a hot fireplace poker or run ran thru a chipper shredder? What the fuck is it with people who can't spell a simple sentence nowadays? View Quote Maintaining tense (red) is important. According to MWD, "thru" is the less preferred method of spelling of "through". "Spaded" generally refers to a digging implement. "Branded, seared, cauterized" would be more fitting verbs when accompanying an implement like a hot fire poker. It's technically a "fire poker" not a "fireplace poker" because one uses it to poke the fire, not the fireplace. |

Grammar Nazis piss me off a lot more than people who misspell a word or two.

Sorry, I misread it as "titties" and not titles, otherwise I wouldn't have clicked on the thread

Alot of people post, and respond on this and other forums from cell phones, with tiny screens, and even smaller keyboards.Poor spelling can also be caused by poor typing. Not a big deal.

Our enemies—the anti-gunners—believe we gun enthusiasts are all drooling troglodyte retards who've never cracked a book. Too many here confirm that belief for our enemies with just pig-ignorant spelling, grammar, and syntax. That is nothing to encourage or be proud of. It is something we should discourage. Congrats to OP for saying something about it. Unfortunately, those who need this advice most will not even open the thread.
