First of all, I haven't seriously watched the Oscars in years. They were talking about this on GMA this morning. Apparently, there is a lot of butthurt that the nominees in the top categories are all white.

Much interviewing with peope complaining about the lack of diverse city in the nominees, and that people of color should be represented. Specifically, the movie "Selma" was referenced in that it had received "critical acclaim," but got snuffed despite Oscar buzz.

Probably because Selma was a steaming pile of self serving bullshit cooked up to further inflame racial tensions in this country that have been continuously egged on by the president and all of his toadies for the past six years.

In other thoughts it would be a great day if America told Hollywood to fuck off and die. I'd love it to see all of those liberal pecker-heads crawl around on their bellies looking for a way to become a productive member of society.

Personally, I couldn't give a rat's ass about the Oscars, but this is interesting. Hollywood liberals decide what gets awarded and what agendaHollywood tries to push.. Now a different group of liberals are butthurt because the first set of liberals didn't legitimize them by awarding a film that they see as legitimizing/uplifting their current cause, because they see diefying a "gentle giant" scumbag as equivalent to Dr Martin Luther King.

So, like we are seeing with the fracturing of the support for Obama from the political side of the liberal machine, the liberal monster on the street may be devouring itself as well.

In the fiction category; I have not seen it yet but from what I have read the biggest criticism is it distorts history to hide the truth and many of the events in the movie were simply not true, some were omitted and some were given the wrong slant then left to the imagination because they did comply with the narrative they wanted to present.

How do you award an Oscar to a biography that was deliberately altered in to a fallacy for political gain?
