Did humans evolve from monkeys? |
You can try; but you won't make a more potentially epic thread than the female ejaculate thread.
I don't think so.
Otherwise why are we humans and monkeys are still monkeys? Must have been something we both came from. |
I didn't. My ancestor, Atsi'tsiaka:ion, came here from the Sky World. Not sure about the rest of you monkey boys.
No, we evolved from tadpoles. Want proof? Look at that tail(bone) when the fetus is still an embryo.
Be kind of awesome to have a tail. Then you could use your tail to hold your beer while scratching your head with one hand and adjusting the toaster settings with the other hand.
Not awesome enough to overcome my dislike of babnnanas......yeah I don't want to be a monkey |

If we came from monkeys, why the hell are monkeys still around lol.

It would insult monkeys to say that some humans are an evolved version of them.

Apes are monkeys in the same way that monkeys are primates, humans are apes and I am a human – it's called a nested hierarchy. This means that all apes are monkeys, but not all monkeys are apes. Just as all humans are apes, but not all apes are human. View Quote AKA common ancestor. Oh and in. This aughta be good. |
We didn't evolve from monkeys, monkeys and us evolved from a common ancestor.
We still have apes for the same reason we still have fish, evolution is not a ladder. |
Depends on who you ask, from a scientific standpoint.
What is apparent is that humans did evolve from small primates with tails. This is not debated. This is a fact. If you deny this you fail 10 grade science. What is debated is if we should consider these primates monkeys or not, as technically, they are not the same, or even that closely related to as any species of monkey that has existed during recorded history. However, if these primates existed tucked away on some island somewhere in the 1800's, a naturalist would probably have classified them as monkeys, and our current definition of monkey would be different. Taxonomy is ALWAYS a bitch fest. That's why its such fun. Ever read moby dick? There is an entire chapter in there arguing that whales are fish (this is before evolution BTW). Taxonomoy....FUCK YEAH!!! |

Yesterday I saw a little monkey riding down the street on the back of a beautiful jet black Labrador Retreiver. The monkey was dressed like a Turkish sultan in the finest silks, with a jeweled scimitar and a brilliant red fez. In one paw he had a Cuban cigar, which he puffed with a casual disdain. The Labrador was wearing a handtooled Spanish riding saddle, with extensive silver accoutrements. He seemed both resigned to his lot in life and smugly superior.
They made a delightful duo. I tipped my hat and said, "Good morning fellas." The monkey just nodded. How the fuck do you evolutionists explain that? |

Both evolved concurrently on different branches growing in slightly different directions.

evolutionists came from primeval ooze or slime, me I was uniquely created by a loving God

Nope. We were transplate here by what we would currently refer to as aliens and what the early world referred to as gods.
No question about it in my humble opinion. Think about it, look at the facts ( Ancient text ) |

Sirs, perhaps there are those among you who believe you are descended from a ape. I suppose there may even be those among you who believe that I am descended from a ape. But I challenge the man to step forward who believes that General Robert E. Lee is descended from a ape.
