3 dead in anti-terror raid in Belgium
Three people have died in a police counter-terrorism raid in Belgium on Thursday, Reuters reported citing Belgian TV. It's unclear whether those killed were civilians or suspected terrorists.
The operation took place in Verviers, located about 77 miles southeast of the capital of Brussels. There's been no indication yet that the raid is tied to the Paris terror attacks last week. The Wall Street Journal citing Belgian media reported Wednesday that Amedy Coulibaly, 32, may have bought weapons in Belgium that were used in his attack that left four dead at a kosher supermarket in Paris last week. However, the Journal said the links tying Coulibaly to a Belgian man who said he bought a car from Coulibaly's wife, Hayat Boumeddiene, were murky. The weapons used in Paris ( AK's, pistols, rocket launcher ) were purchased in Belgium. I would guess this might be related.

Granted it's not Lichtenstein but still. . . Secondly, it's a joke. |
