My favorite generation of F series truck, right there.
Good buy, I'm jealous. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

You just bought two of the best trucks ever made. I can't find any in good enough shape up here in michigan. Was looking for a 96 f250 with the 7.3l powerstroke
460?
Say goodbye to good gas mileage. My '89 F350 Dually with a 460 got 6 mpg.
miss my 92 F350 4x 7.3. first truck i ever ordered. it was like 21K and i remember thinking i must be losing my mind spending that much on a truck. heh. beautiful trucks. hang on to them.
Good trucks, but in the rust belt they are a rare breed. Most rot before they go mechanically.

Very nice.
When I have a bigger garage an OBS is on my list. Right now I'm looking at a 2015 lariet F350 to go with my 2008 F250 King Ranch. |

Quoted: No BS, this truck got 13.2 MPG from here to New Bern NC 2 weeks ago. I didn't buy it for mileage, but I will take that. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: 460? Those are sweet trucks! Would love something like that for around town. Do you mind givin ballpark on what you paid?

That's great mileage. I'd have kept mine if I could have gotten that, but wasn't going to happen being a dually with a C-6 trans. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Would love to find a loaded 350 like that, but with a king cab and 300 I6.
Why Ford didn't put the I6 in more of them, I don't know. They made similar torque to the 351W and got better mileage. |

Me! I've got a brand new 1993 F250 with the same set up (460/manual) and I love it. 130k on mine.

I like that square body style.
I kinda want my parents' '93 F-350 |
I'm no Ford fan, but I have always really liked those.
I swear the bench seat in these trucks are the most comfortable truck seats ever produced. |
I'd buy one of those in a heartbeat. I'd love to have one like that.
I have one for a work truck, it's sold as far as work goes.
I would prefer to have all the handy modern stuff though, and an automatic transmission would be nice. |
I love the OBS Fords.
I've owned : 94.5 F350 4 door dually Powerstroke 96 F250 2 door extended cab Powerstroke...Took this one to 260k before I sold it....100k burning waste oil My "new" truck is a 95 F350 4x4 4 door long bed with 250k on it. |
Tell us more about the green 4x. I'm looking around for one similar to that up here in PA. Most of them are just trashed.
I borrow my Dad's 91 F250 occasionally for work, dump runs, or when my Exploder shits the bed.
5.8L 2wd automatic. Probably one of the best driving cars we've ever owned. Drives like a big car. |

I had a 95 F150 2WD with a 300 and a 5-speed. Awful gas mileage. 10 years after it was made, it rusted through.

The green truck was bought from the second owner. It has 130K, 300I6 and 5spd. It has freshly painted wheels (by me) and some used 31s we scrounged up. When we bought it she was still wearing the 235s We pulled out the (original fabric) seat and cleaned it to look like new, cleaned the inside up. We installed the chrome grill and front bumper as the OE stuff was dark grey. That's about it. We plan on a smooth style chrome rear bumper and chrome faced mirrors. Needs a shifter knob too. Original paint and interior, runs and drives great. It was what my daughter wanted and we stole it as far as I am concerned. EVERYTHING rusts badly north of Virginia, I know you northerners have it bad up there. I have seen some great rust rescues from up there by some dedicated enthusiasts though. View Quote Nice to see rust free trucks like that can be found there. What part of NC are in in? I'll be moving back to NC (New Bern area) this summer and would love to find one. |

Kick ass trucks OP! Thanks for sharing! Would LOVE to have that F350 and its white. My FAV!!

I know its not an "f" series but I have a 92 bronco xlt and love the thing!

I drove down to New Bern to buy a set of wheels not long ago. I plan to put 37s on the F350 and needed some 16.5 wheels. |

Hows your been for maintenance and parking? I drive in cities and little ass parking garages all the time and while I can stuff a F250 in the school garage, it's not that ideal... Do the Bronco's fit places? |
Broncos are about the same length as a short bed pickup, they are very maneuverable compared to new full size trucks.
The OBS Fords are smaller than you think compared to what we are used to now. My SD was a mammoth compared to these trucks. |
