I have a friend who is Indian (dot, not feather, but he doesn't have a dot, as American as you can get, but, you know, ummm dark), who got pulled over back in the day, (99 - 2001 sometime in there) and ended up being let go. Turns out he was suspected of DWB (driving while black), but the officer actually told him, and I quote, "honestly, I thought you were black." This was in the day before cell phone cameras were everywhere.

Neither are minorities.
I remember some Poly-sci major was telling me how racist Louisiana was because we didnt have a black governor. I said "You really can't get more minority in Louisiana than Indian." and he said "Indians are not minorities, blacks are." The proceeded to ramble on about his Poly-sci-ness and Noam Chomsky. |

Cops aren't racist. But progressive liberal policies create an environment that is hostile to the poor, and unfortunately a lot of blacks are poor.

Another question: If cops are killing so many blacks in unjustified shootings, why was a thug (Mike Brown) chosen as the poster child for the cause? Surely they could have chosen a more sympathetic candidate from the pool of "victims". Where are the honor students or hard-working fathers who were just trying to provide for their families when they were shot by a racist cop?

I bet you would find some racist people in just about every occupation but also within every race. I have met italians who hate jews, cubans who hate mexicans. I have met mexicans who hate blacks, blacks that hate whites and whites that hate blacks. Even some Japanese people who hate Koreans. I would imagine if I spent time in europe there would be some crazy racism there between cultures also. Activists dont get this basic concept because they live in bubbles. |
