eta: Scratch that, looks like Aerial Ops is part of the Special Features. The Complete Art of the Firearm Special Features set contains over 3.5 hours of new footage and training including Low Light Operations, Go Bags, rough-cuts of Dynamic Vehicle and Skydiving Techniques, and the complete Aerial Platform Operations. |

The couple of "in-testing" magpul products that Haley was using in the video already seemed unnecessary (bad lever, angled foregrip, side-by-side magazine carrier thingy) and I just kinda ignored them. Maybe that's what he's trying to steer people away from?
Aside from maybe less flipping of an AR to clear the magazine out of the well... what else has changed as far as actually using the guns? It'd be interesting to hear what parts of the video are obsolete or at least what people feel is obsolete. |

These videos are too far behind the dynamic curve. 7 years ago these would offer the dynamic paradigm suitable for operations against the Iraqi insurgency and Taliban but threats change bro. If you're running this sort of ancient kit and techniques these days,might as well be packing a .38 in a basket weave flap holster and shooting from the dueling stance. It's your life bro,I'm just trying to save it.

The Carbine/handgun are the really old ones. A lot of the gunstuff/equipment they were recomending is old and newer better stuff is out there. So I think thatss what he is saying. Think AFGs, slings, rails, optics.

I'll reiterate that it'd be really nice if he follows up and elaborates. It doesn't take much to say "some of that is good foundation, but we were using some gear/techniques that were fads, and it's important to know that ____ proved to be a fad, rather than the next best thing".
Or could be his admins made that post.

There's very minimal difference in the techniques or equipment used between his Magpul days and his current Panteao Productions stuff. Things do evolve but to suggest that something that was relevant in 2008 is useless today is, well, just not reality. IMO, the Magpul stuff and the present Panteao stuff are BOTH excellent.
