I designed and built this gun back in 2000.....never posted a video of it firing back then, but here is a vid from about 3 years ago, just recently uploaded.

Tromix

P.S. I know it serves no useful purpose other than being "fun" to shoot....but that's good enough for me.

I never took the gun to Knob Creek, but I did fire it in public one time, at the Wyondotte Oklahoma Machine Gun shoot (OFASTS) in 2000 or 2001.

so did the upper one have a protruding firing pin and used the gas from the lower one to cycle back?

The upper gun has the trigger removed and the selector set on "auto".  As soon as the bolt cycles home, it fires....simply a slave to the lower gun.
With the lower gun on semi, it fires one shot, and then the slave above fires as well, giving you a two shot burst.  With the lower on "auto", both guns fire in sequence  until the lower trigger is released, stopping the cycle.

Tony, thanks for posting the video!  That has captivated me since you posted the original still pic.  After all these years, it's a real treat to see it in action and in HD!

True genius.

A bit impractical, doesn't change the fact that I'd love to shoot the damn thing

It had never been done before the year 2000.  I thnk some other C2 mfr's may have made some after seeing the original Tromix prototype.

Keep in mind, when you watch the empty cases stream out the left hand side (about 4 inches apart) there is an equal number flying out the other side at the same time.  I'm not sure what the rate of fire is....but it's getting with it.

If it has been done in the past, I'd wager a sizable sum that it was just a copy of Tony's original invention.

Tony,

You're a sick and twisted, demented, and depraved individual.....

I for one, missed ya around here.

Good to see ya gave up on 200T Carb Voodoo, and decided to get back to the realm of darkness....where shit makes sense.

Happy Thanksgiving friend!

FWIW I recently bought an upper from Tromix and I was impressed as hell by the fit and finish.  For the price it was a fantastic deal.

Being fun to shoot is basically the only requirement I have for firearms.  As long as they put a smile on my face that's all I care about.
