The original with the what 4in tapered barrel? Maybe 300 tops, you can still find them new (or like new, unless you want a safe queen) lots of places and the 50'th anniversiry was just the red ruger logos right?

Mark II is a little nicer than the current Mark III in that the Mark III basically had some Lawyer features like a plastic LCI and a magazine safety added.

Mark II is Lawyer free.

My 10" bull was just under $300 new in the early-mid 90s if I recall. So $300 max, more if it was a 10" cannot get those with the new ones. My 10" is not even 100fps slower than my 16" 10/22s and much more accurate. The original factory trigger is like a 24oz pull.

I'd say about $350. It is doubtful they will have any collector value in our lifetimes. They are good shooters though. The 4" tapered barrel model is a sleeper. Simple, light, accurate, and they always seem to shoot to point of aim. I just bought a used one no box, one mag, for $200. It was cherry and shoots great.

Lime everyone else, I bought it as an investment hoping it would appreciate in value in a few years. It really hasn't by now and I'm.guessing it won't ever bring more than a similar pistol without the markings in the same condition.

So the thought of having an integral suppressor added, the same length as my Gov't Target Model is really appealing to me.

Couple of months ago I bought a NIB 10" stainless. It was a LOT more than $200.

I may be the only guy who had problems with a MKII, now I have a BuckMark and am a happy guy. A pal of mine collects MKII's I think he has 13 or more with zero problems. He trolls the pawn shops for them paying about $200.

That's true, a lightly used Standard w/box brings around $400.00. Hell Standard/MK-1 9-round chrome based mags are fetching around $50.00.

Just because it's "new and unfired" doesn't mean it's "new". People don't understand this concept, you bought it new and now want to sell it, in my eyes it's used and I will only pay used price.

Too many people running around trying to sell something that's used for damn near new price, I walk away from a lot of stuff because of it.

I may as well just go buy whatever it is new then, and I have, at least I'll get some kind of warranty and it will actually be new.

Find a few that have actually sold on Gunbroker, and offer something near that. Show the seller those Gunbroker listings. Ignore prices for guns that were LISTED but never SOLD.

I have two Ruger MK II pistols that are identical. Stainless 5 inch bull barrel targets. One with red medallions on grip and mags.

Don't know what to do with them. Never shoot them anymore like I used to simply because of the 22 ammo shortage.

Spend most of my time reloading and shooting my 44 mags.

If you spend any time following values of used guns you will make yourself crazy

Mark IIs are only valuable as shooters , yes ,because they are Rugers some folks "collect" them but there really isn't hardly a model that Ruger has put out in the last 30 years that they didn't pump out 50,000 or 100,000 of . No real collectors value

Like the Winchester 94 Commemorative . 98% of them that were made are worth about $7 more than a similar condition plain Winchester 94
There are a few odd ones that only were made in small numbers and those can bring some cash , but only if minty with all the paper and box .

When I was helping my buddy in his shop we would sort of hate to see that stuff coming in because it would be a case of somebody getting all butt hurt because they thought they were going to get paid $10,000 for a rifle worth $325 as a trade in

It depends what you want, I just put a set of Hogue on a MKI target and they come with a filler for the hammer pin hole, it has a slot for the bolt stop but that does not bother me, if you want wood you will likely have to get them special made or find some used ones.
