My mom decided that she wants to rescue a dog from Washington state, a little Maltese named Biggie Smalls. Info about
this  little guy can be found in this thread.
I already asked U Ship dot com for a quote on getting him out here, but I know we've got some real good people here who might want to help out. Any help is appreciated.

It would most likely be along the I-80 route correct?

Depending on time I may be able to do some driving from Cleveland to Pittsburgh.
Works hectic right now but would love to help

Wonder how much airfare would be. Maybe someone here works in airline industry?

Airfare would be somewhere around $250.

Much less than what a cross country drive would cost.

If the dog needs transport through or near RI, Connie and I are in, and will gladly give up a tankful of gas.
Nice op.

Right now I'm thinking that flying him out here would be the most cost effective way of doing it. Just waiting on info about his vaccinations at the moment.

I'd be in for $100. I must say we need some pics of her new friend added to the thread though.

That would be pretty awesome if the dog wasn't so far away. My dad had his own plane before he passed away, and I'm sure he would have loved to be involved with this group. Most people with planes will fly just for the love of it.

I have made those flights but this is a long distance at a marginal time of year.

$385 or so to have the dog flown is by far the fastest and cheapest way to do it.

I'm in for $200.00, so I think we're good on the money end. Just have to wait for the go ahead on the vet for now.
