The sample also included 147 cartridges bearing the distinctive WOLF stamp used by Sporting Supplies International, an American company that sells Russian-manufactured ammunition under its own brand. The company has provided bulk military ammunition to the United States government for distribution to security forces under its training, raising the possibility that an additional 8.5 percent of the ammunition documented in the Islamic State‘s possession was sent into the region by the United States. |

Not surprising - we gave a lot of stuff including ammo to the iraqis, and they left it all behind when they ran away.
NO SHIT... Let me guess, the column of US Humvees being operated under the influence of snackbar gave it away?
I think I'd be a bit more concerned about the M1 tanks and 155mm howitzers that have fallen under the possession of ISIS, rather than 147 rounds of a cartridge that already exists by the billions in that region.

This is the norm in any conflict so what is the big deal? NYT is running out of things to report so they make up useless shit.
Do they list the 3 gun stores along the border with ISIS that are selling it?

BAN AMMUNITION SALES IN THE US!!!! I came to post this. Need to ban rifles, civilian tanks, grenades and humvees too since all the ones IS has have been traced back to the US.. too bad that the average American is too stupid to realize that is probably the goal, and the information, while accurate, is not accurately represented with respect to HOW that ammo go there (the government took it there during military operations, not to give to IS, but because we had a military presence). |

Wolf?
Must be a secret operation to get their guns to jam and explode Very clever |

What's the point.......they may also be lubing up goat ass and little boys with with hand lotion we stocked in our PXs
In other breaking news, the HMMWVS, MRAPS, Howitzers and M-1 Abrams were sent there by us, too.

The Taliban used a lot of wolf in their AKs in Afghanistan. Corrupt ans/anps gave it to them I'm sure.
And they were feeding a captured m240/m14 in our area. We got the m14 back :-). |
Probably supplied to them when we were their allies in Syria and Assad was our enemy. Now ISIS is the enemy and Assad is the ally. At least so I think, everything changes so quickly with the Obama Government's foreign policy. We were always at war with East Asia, or Europa, or whatever.....

Come on guys, isn't it obvious that the United States' lax laws regarding the sale of bulk ammo is the cause of all this? We just need more bans, thats all. Clearly all gun violence worldwide is the NRA's fault for refusing to accept common sense measures to keep the children safe.

That Chivers guy is the one who wrote that faggoty book about the AK-47, in which he basically wept great, snotty tears all over every page as he talked about the tragedy of so many guns in the world.
No surprise he'd be writing for the equally faggoty NYT. |
