God's early plagues were a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Passover came out, I think he really came into his own, Emancipationally and artistically. The whole plague has a clear, crisp feel, and a new sheen of lamb's blood that protects the faithful gives the plague a big boost. He's been compared to Osiris, but I think God has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
