Where are all these walmarts with ammo? I have never been to one that had a decent supply of decently priced ammo.
Everything I see is 270WSM, .204, 20GA, 12GA, .243, etc..... Any .223 is still not as cheap as it is online. |

I was just there, no line for me, got my 22lr and 556 nice and quick, the have doughnuts and cider there as well, overall it was a good experience.

i just started buying ammo at walmart again last week. i tried out 200 rounds of the fed aluminum 9mm... i liked it, so i grabbed 500 rounds to put into my fort. im planning on buying around 500-1000 each month just to put into the fort, with another 200 or so for target practice.
if you dont know... federal 9mm aluminum fmj is $9.99 a box of 50. ........500 rounds cost me $105.00. shoots great in my guns, and there is no brass to hunt down in the grass. which is pretty damn nice. i expect to have about 10.000 rounds of this stuff neck bearded in the next two years. walmart has my favorite handgun ammo.... remington 100 round bulk jhp... 9mm, and 45 acp. protip...... if you want a ammo fort, and your not made of $$... buy ammo, and shoot 50% and ammo fort 50%... you will have a fort in no time.

And I just got back from the local fun show and the same ZQI 7.62x51 is selling for 18 a box.
Id much rather shoot mine than make money. Too bad it's windy as hell here today. |

I was there yesterday buying paint supplies and ended up leaving with 1000 rounds of Wincheter m-22. Today I go back for more rollers and such and they have 100 100 rounds boxes of CCI. I bought three. It's the first .22 I've seen and bought in about a year. I just happened to be at the right place and right time for once.

They're having a "hunting special" this weekend.
I did buy 3 boxes of the CCI, but at 7.5 cents a round, it's a bit more than I really want to pay, so won't buy more. The real bargain is the ZQI in 30 round boxes. 21 cents a round, for reloadable brass, is steel case ammo prices. I need to get some more. other ZQI ammo is 20% off too. |

Happened to wander by the counter around 0750 this morning as I was there anyway. I counted 6 peeps (2 neck beards, 4 ordinary looking folk) in line for the clerk to open up a few cases of CCI Black Box (100rnd per box) at 0800.

You need to remember that the CCI is the standard velocity, which is a higher grade than the bulk stuff. $7.47 is a good price for it. |

well there were 17 in front of me for the 3 box limit of 22lr, sadly it was CCI standard vel. in 100rd boxes for $7.97 each. 8 cents a fucking round for 22lr. I heard that the gunshows are getting $100 for a 500rd box of 22lr and they are selling out.
ETA the guy standing in front of me said he bought 3 of that $100 a box stuff, and his daughter shot it all up in 1 weekend, the guy was bragging. I thought it was foolish but hey like shooting and pouring money out your barrel go for it. Fool and his money soon part. |

i had to go to mine for paint.... and they had probably 100 boxes of 100 round cci .22 lr. i grabbed the gf and bought 6 boxes. first 22 ammo i have bought in about 2 years.
