Was this really necessary?

They show panic and catastrophe, but I am not convinced.

I imagine a there would be a pretty huge party if all the people telling us that sex, drinking and porn was immoral all got raptured away.

Assuming that half of the worlds population went away in an instant, I don't really see how everything would be chaos.

it's a christian thing, right?

There are a lot of assholes who wish to impose their morality on us, including abstinance from sex, drinking and porn, who don't subscribe to the Christian faith.

Planes all fly on autopilot these days. Hell, they can even land on auto pilot now.

As for cars crashing, it won't be that many. Probably just a couple revival buses.

That is a very compelling argument.  Have you contacted the Pope regarding your feelings?

two possibilities:
1: all the muslims are gone and we're left with dejected christians.  would suck but i could think of worse
2: all the christians are gone and we're left with muslims - that could be a bit of a sticky wicket especially if the remaining population is mostly leftists and mamby pambies.

Catholics don't buy that rapture horseshit. Thats the reformers and all their cocked up Christianity. Catholics say, Drink on, there plenty of time to visit the confessional.

The Bible has a pretty good track record on predicting future events.
So yes, it will seem like a pretty good party for a few years....but it does take a turn for the worst.
-For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.-Jesus Mat 24
Not sure what you think of his opinion on the matter.

Left behind?

Psh.

The Thief in the Night series of movies was the best.

I especially liked the part where the chick is on the guillotine and changes are mind at the last minute saying she wants the mark, but right then there's an earthquake which makes the guillotine blade slip.  Presumably she winds up in hell.

Awesome stuff.

One of my peeves regarding "Christian" entertainment.
Is the end times the only thing we can find to make movies around?

I tell my Christian friends that one of my favorite Christian movie is "I am Legend "

There's been tons of movies about biblical stories.

Alright, here we go.

The "Rapture" will take place. NOT all "Christians" will be raptured.  In order to be raptured you must first recognize that you are an unjust sinner.  Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;". The glory of God is Jesus Christ. Jesus walked this earth perfect knowing no sin and was "just" in Gods eyes. You must also realize that you are unjust and that you NEEED what Jesus Christ did on the cross FOR YOU. 1 Peter 3:18 "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:".

You see Jesus Christ literally took ALL our sins to Hell when he died on the cross. Ephesians 4:9-10. His body was placed in a tomb for "three days and three nights" (see Matthew 12:40), His Spirit returned to God Luke 23:46 "And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.", but His soul made a deeper subterranean trip to Hell (see Acts 2:27).  He dumped our sins there (see Romans 6:10, Isaiah 53:10, 1 Peter 2:24). So how someone gets to Hell today is they do not accept Christ's payment and THEY THEMSELVES will have to make that payment for eternity in Hell.  We are all made in the likeness of God, Jesus, Spirit Genesis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." We all have a body which will return to dust, we all have a spirit which will return to God, and we all have a soul which is the part of us that will live forever.

So in order to get salvation/be saved I.e. "Be born again" (be raptured when the time comes) we must repent of our sins ask Jesus into our life and to save us from Hell and Romans 10:9-10 "9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Now back to the Rapture.

1 Corinthians 15:50-58 tells us ALL about it "
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."

When a saved (see first 3 paragraphs) person gets Raptured God will  cause those who are left behind and who heard the gospel (good news) to become delusional. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 "
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

This is all literal folks. You can see what you are being conditioned for (they will most likely blame it on Alien Abductions) After the rapture occurs you will have 7 years of tribulation. 3.5 years of tribulation and 3.5 years of Great Tribulation. Jesus walked this earth for 3.5 years so Satan will also walk this earth for 3.5 years (the great tribulation). For those of you who are still here for that you can read/study one chapter of Job a month for those 3.5 years. The only way to make it into the Millennial (Christ's reign on earth) is to endure to the end (stay alive).  You also CANNOT take the mark of the beast (whatever they make you have to buy food/supplies)

Seems out there to you I know, but it's real/literal and fast approaching.
