Today ends day five of the 2014 Warrior Games; only one more day of competition. The track and field competitions took place at Garry Berry Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The All-Marine team took home 12 medals today; 10 gold, one silver, and six bronze. The evening brought the Gold Medal Sitting Volleyball match against Team Navy. The first game was won by the Navy, the second game was won by the Marines, but it all came down to a third game in which the first team to 15 points would claim gold. Although the Marines played their hearts out, it was not enough to overcome the Navy, so the All-Marine Team came home with silver medals. If you missed the match, you can still catch it online at http://www.dvidshub.net/webcast/5159.
Friday brings the Shooting competition, which will be held at the Olympic Shooting Center on the grounds of the USOTC. As every Marine is a rifleman, the All-Marine team should be bringing home plenty of jewels in the colors of gold, silver, and bronze. We have 11 Marines competing in shooting, three pistol shooters, and 10 rifle shooters. The night will end with the Wheelchair Basketball Gold Medal game against the Army at 17:30 MT. Don't forget to cheer on the Marines from home. You can catch the Gold Medal game live at
