To help cover the cost of her training.

If she's that retarded she doesn't deserve the $10 an hour they would pay her.
Damn cyber beggars |
|
hmmm maybe I should start asking for donations to pay off my student loans
|
|
So gofundme is turning into the internet equivalent of standing out by the highway off-ramp with a begging sign scribbled on cardboard? Only without all the hassle of standing around in the hot sun?
This person has a job, but no desire or ability to plan, scrimp, and save for her dreams and goals (which are NOT heartbreakingly out of reach for a normal person, like some life-changing surgery costs are for children, etc.) and just wants US to throw OUR OWN HARD EARNED CASH AT HER???!!!! We need an answer to gofundme...is there already a "gofuckyourself" website in existence? If not there should be. |
|
This is exactly what I was talking about in my "Why is is OK to beg" rant.

She has a kinda girly fella holding her hand in the smaller photo...

So, she wants us to pay for her advanced? Who paid for basic? Will she want others to pay for medic later?
fuck it, lets all just give anyone money for anything they want. |

you know what,
this kid is trying. she has a goal and is working toward it. i don't have an issue with it. at least she is trying to better her position with a skill set that benefits her community. |
|
Hmmm. Maybe I'll try it. "Hi. I want some money. Give me some money". Donate now. |
|
4000 for AEMT? That's fucking retarded. My paramedic cert cost me around $6k at nearly four times the time investment. Hell, she can move here and we'll put her through the AEMT class for free.

I don't know....
I read the request and I can think of a lot of worse things I could donate towards. Seems like a driven young lady trying to better herself. Her written skills, if she wrote that, are pretty good. And she seems passionate about the career. It never hurts to ask politely for help and we are free to choose not to give, unlike welfare where you are required by law and threat of very bad things if we don't pay our taxes to give to the lazy and useless people. |

What happened to getting a freaking scholarship to pay for your school?

I just finished EMT basic. 2 semesters and $3,000 at the local community college. I start advanced in January. You guys should give me money instead.

Yes, get NREMT-B with the class, apply for reciprocity to get IN EMT-B cert. I can't remember if FISDAP was extra when I did my medic class, but we did it. I didn't use FISDAP for NREMT-B. We had to pass fisdap with an 80 or better by the end of August. A true pain in the ass. 15 started in January and 6 of us made it to the end. There's still a couple who didn't pass national registry. Which is just as bad as fisdap.
financial aid covered mine except for books. |
