This was done with a drill press, x-y vise, jig and some cheap end mills from amazon.
 My understanding is the Anderson lowers don't have a hole for the bolt catch roll pin, so that is an extra step that will need to be drilled. I believe Tactical Machining has a special deal on right now with an 80% lower and an upper receiver for $80. I would buy from them if I was buying this week.

Upper is added in the drop down box for $29. The first jig I used was from SNA (part of the crowd funding they did), they supplied a very crappy jig that was different from what they had advertised. It sucked. This one doesn't look too bad: |

I would agree with getting a Tactical Machining at this time as they are Cerro Forge lowers and they are on sale. You can also get the anodized version for $5 more. If you use the older Easy Jig with this, the Anderson, or any other standard forged lower you will have to do some machining of the jig to get the bolt catch area to fit. The rear takedown hole was already drilled with a small pocket machines out. They didn't drill the hole for the bolt release spring. Besides that, same as any other 80%. I have a Sherline mini mill with DRO and a grip of tooling. |

I'm using the 80% Arms lowers receivers. I've made a bunch in .223 and have now moved on to .308 rifles.
I have a Tactical Machinery .223 jig, and an 80% Arms .308 Easy Jig - the Easy Jig is a better design. I have one of the original 1998/99 Tannery Jigs which IIRC were the first ones out. Might buy one of these Modulus Arms jigs.
