I, uh.

I don't even know what to think about these.

link

At first glance, these Dress Pant Sweatpants look like exquisite black wool trousers. Which they are, except for the wool part. Now look closer; better yet, put on a pair.

We made ‘em from high-end French terry, which has a subtle heather texture similar to fine suit cloth. So they look sophisticated — and feel slumped-on-the-couch comfy like your favorite pair of old sweatpants.

Lulz.

I wouldn't be surprised if this catches on. People seem to be getting more and more casual in their manner of dress. Seems like a logical extension of the existing trend.

Yeah, I can't see myself spending over $100 on freaking sweatpants.

especially sweatpants I'm supposed to wear to look like I'm not wearing sweatpants.

I think they cost that much because they are made in San Francisco.

I've got a pair of those, or something very much like them...made by Ecko. Except for a tiny logo under the belt loops, you'd never know they weren't dress pants...but comfy as fuck. I wear them when I'm doing "dressy casual", but I dig them a lot.

Wish I could provide one, I found them at TJ Maxx a few years ago, and I've looked online for them since and haven't found anything. Probably an issue of not knowing the model/terminology of what they are, but they might have been a limited production or something odd.

They look very similar to the ones in the OP's link tho.

I do what I want. Fuck hipsters. Not doing something because it's a trend is just as beta as doing something because it's a trend.

Wake up, put on dress sweats, go to the gym, go to school, go to work, have dinner with friends, go to bed.. All while in the same pair of pants. Looking professional and feeling functional the entire time. No time wasted changing clothes.

Will be ordering 4 pairs of these in addition to my tuxedo t shirts.

It's not the look so much as being "the guy that bought $108 sweatpants".

Shit, around here they wear ill-fitting jammie bottoms and torn, 10 year old 3XXXL Tony Stewart "Rattlin' the Rafters" Home Depot T-shirts with ice cream (I hope) stains, and mismatched imitation Crocs.
