You gotta figure that a plane that slow and funky looking staying in service with the "fighter pilot culture" of the USAF and the Navy for that long has got to be a bad mother fucker.

I would've loved seeing the Boeing offering win the JSF competition, to bring back the ugly bastard's shape to the common skies.

Those are always sexy. Like it slightly better in the pointier F-8 version but still damn fine looking. One of the best looking wings ever made.

F-8 Crusader was the last gunfighter.  The A-7 was dirt mover.  They were cousins.

I can never tell the two apart without the wing elevated on the F-8.

Didn't A-7s have cannons?

Thanks a lot, homo.
I went to google trying to find a screenshot to post, and ended up watching vids from the game
Now I'm gonna end up spending the rest of the evening trying to get the game to run in Windows 7.
What can I say--the visuals and audio take me back to a more carefree time in my life.

So bleep you very much

Navy "A" school we got to do maintenance turns on these planes. That was way cool being an E nothing getting to sit in the cockpit with control of the throttle.

At the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum you can "fly" a full motion simulator that plays Janes and use a Phantom to shoot down MiGs- it will totally satisfy your inner 12 year old

I like flying them in Arma 3

Unfortunately the paintjobs are limited, and they are relatively low texture because they are ported from older arma games.
