fuck yes
show me someone who doesnt love an A-7, and I'll show you someone who obviously isn't an aviator.... and is probably a communist. |

First time I saw one I thought "What an ugly airplane"
I spent the next 4 years working on them I learned to love them |
|
Seen one of them suck up a boulder while I was on deployment in Korea for Team Spirit '86. Doing high power run up's. Aftermath wasn't a pretty picture
|
|
loved seeing the A-7D's flying around Rickenbacker in the 80's
|
|
I loved flying them in Battlefield: Vietnam.
Only American plane I could dogfight with successfully. |

You gotta figure that a plane that slow and funky looking staying in service with the "fighter pilot culture" of the USAF and the Navy for that long has got to be a bad mother fucker.

Iowa National Guard flew over the house every day during the summers growing up.
The good 'ole days. |

Those are always sexy. Like it slightly better in the pointier F-8 version but still damn fine looking. One of the best looking wings ever made.

I loved them in Jane's USNF '97. View Quote Thanks a lot, homo. I went to google trying to find a screenshot to post, and ended up watching vids from the game Now I'm gonna end up spending the rest of the evening trying to get the game to run in Windows 7. What can I say--the visuals and audio take me back to a more carefree time in my life. So bleep you very much Apex inbound, drop chaff... Dat ex-Soviet swarm is within spitting distance of the carrier action, doe: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgg2SI17Vpo |

Navy "A" school we got to do maintenance turns on these planes. That was way cool being an E nothing getting to sit in the cockpit with control of the throttle.
