Sitting here wondering what everyone else is doing up at this hour.
We work eight ten hour days in a row then have six off. I'm on the 2000hr to 0600hr shift. Everyone works on Wednesdays thats when we train, have meetings, etc.
At least we get every other weekend off this way.

How about you?

SHEEET!!!  Right now I would be just about happy with any shift, as I go on day 357 of my extended vacation.  When I did work it was 07:30-16:30hr with Sun & Wens off.

Where I work, we don't have a shift!

I work from 18:45 to 7:00 for a few days, and than from 6:45 to 19:00 for the next few days.

Horrible stuff!  Hard work in a noisy, dirty, extremely hot / extremely cold (depends where you are at the moment), labor extensive steel mill!!!!

Hmmm...I noticed most of us work just about anything but a day shift.

The other guys must be at work that's why they haven't responded....except for Lordtrader, of course. [;)]

Or maybe their embarrased by their cushy day job.??  [:o]

No shift, work any hour any day. Unless you worked the night before (3 out of 7 usually) they prefer you work during the day. Travel 50% of the time, on-call 7x24.  If it weren't so much fun I'd get burnt out.

Not a bad deal at all! We work pretty close with the Fire Dept's. We seem to stay busier than they do, but no one asks me to run into a burning building. I think that is a fair trade [;)]
