Mad Max isn't as cool as Road Warrior. It's a bit slower and less off the wall, as the dystopia is just beginning. Still worth a watch though and a good movie in itself.

OP, how old are you?
Not meant as an insult. So please do not take it as one. When we were kids back in the 80's , this was the movie that we would stay up late to watch and try to record on our parent's betamax. We watched the crap out of this movie as kids. The original Australian language/ dialogue version that they play now, is nice. Different play on the same movie. Funny how that works...
