<grumpy cat GOOD>
It looks like the gun owners in CT went out and voted today! RINO McKinney who helped Democrats push through the newest CT "assault weapons ban" loses Republican primary to Tom Foley (former US Ambassador to Ireland). Foley ran against Dannel Malloy for the Governor seat in 2010 and lost by just 5,000 votes. Foley will now have a rematch with Malloy in the race for Governor of CT this November. This is a win for gun owners in CT that hopefully snowballs into a big defeat for Malloy. http://ctmirror.org/election-results-primary-2014/ ETA: I earned my sticker today while voting against that SOB McKinney |

Good, as long as he remembers which side his bread is buttered on

Elections have consequences, and apparently being anti gun douche bag does too.

He says he owns guns and supports the 2nd Amendment. Additionally, in a recent debate: Foley started the fireworks four minutes into the debate, charging that the 2013 gun-control reforms, which resulted in an expansion of the state's ban on military-style weapons and new prohibitions on magazines that hold more than 10 bullets, threatened the constitutional rights of gun owners.
Foley said the law was "an overreach" and that lawmakers have neglected to address the underlying issue of mental health that likely contributed to the Dec. 14, 2012, massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School. "In some respects, Sen. McKinney actually advocated for restrictions that the governor wasn't advocating," Foley charged. http://www.ctpost.com/local/article/Foley-McKinney-name-call-in-final-debate-5679952.php |

I am not real smart when it comes to politics, but that sounds like a message being sent.

Not like Malloy has done much of anything good except try his best to bury any economic gain or Industry in this state

Great job guys guys . Now if the republicans on a national level will realize this

Eat a dick McKinney. Still surprising to see that he did get a decent amount of votes. Still plenty of RINOs in the state... although to be fair, since Foley did get the official nomination, turnout was biased for McKinney by nature...

Obama used him to push a gun control agenda, and then kicked Malloy to the curb like a single mom. I don't think malloy's head is going to be in the game, or he will be very irritable over the campaign. We can win this |

Question is will he drop the AWB nonsense if he wins???
If not, what difference will he make in CT? |

He can veto any additional legislation The legislature needs to change and then draft laws to vote on to overwrite the new gun laws. The movement starts from the top however Governor cannot just say "get rid of the new gun laws" |

Damnit.
Do I have to send hard-earned, Southern money up to Foley? |

I look forward to my CT visit right before Election Day. Ground zero right there.
