I used to, but I sat on my last good hat and ruined the bill. I can't find anything but flatbills or cabelas billboards around here. Anyone have some good hat suggestions that don't give off the former/current military vibe? No desert camo or patches for me, just not my style. Can be gun related or not.

EDIT: No offense intended to military folks out there. I am saying I don't want a hat with morale patches, because I tend to assume the people who wear them have served. If you haven't served and wear them that's ok too, just not my style.

Nope, just sunglasses.  I never have a problem with glare or sun, granted the place I shoot has cover over the firing line.

ETA:  I will add that I hate wearing hats.

Sombreros are pretty nice, they provide the best amount of shade when shooting.

Cheapest earthtone baseball hat walmart sells.  No matter what time of the day I shoot, or which direction, I always seem to shoot into the sun.

I always wear a cap.  The last time I didn't, a hot brass casing arced over my eye protection, wedged on the bridge of my nose,  and burned me good!

I'm partial to camo college football team caps.

I wear a hat most days anyway, so definitely wear one shooting.

I probably have a dozen or so of these...

Pick your team, Nike makes a pretty decent hat. Has a cloth adjustable strap in back, not a stretchy material hat, those give me headache.

They do help when the suns bright though.

Nothing like a good a day of shooting and then tipping that hat down for siesta in the afternoon.

Once you get a piece of hot brass caught on your frame or arm of the glasses you'll realize the benefit of a hat.

In the sun I do. With overhead cover or cloudy weather, sometimes. Depends on what I feel like wearing.

I mostly wear my tan noveske hat. Very comfy. Here in the desert a hat helps keep sweat out of the eyes as well as the sun. On super bright/hot days I'll wear a boonie to try and cover the back of my neck because I always seem to forget sunscreen.

My go to training/shooting hat this year is the boxing skunk hat from Stinker Stores.  As you're in Idaho you should know what I'm talking about.

when shooting a semi-auto handgun I wear a brimmed hat, as I once had an ejected 9mm case drop between my glasses and face, raising a nice blister before I could clear it.
I have an Arfcom hat, and a bunch of other I've picked up over the years.

Yes, only took a piece of deflected hot brass to the dome for me to get the hint. I also untuck my shirt for the same reason.

Awfully hot here in the summer, that being said I did have a .40 case bounce off a partition and manage to go behind my eye pro one time. Luckily it settled just below the eye at the top of my cheek
I guess, left a mark but did not blister, so yes I try to wear a hat.

Also at that time I was at an indoor range. With the humidity here especially in the summer I find my glasses fogging, hence that I would pull my glasses away from my face a bit. I've since purchased
some new glasses and a de-fogging cloth to avoid another case behind the glasses, so a hat is not imperative now.

Shooting is literally the only time I ever wear a hat.
