Preferably, you'll offer two entries:

1. A burger you've made yourself.
2. Your best restaurant burger - preferably one that wasn't professionally photographed by the restaurant itself. We want real customer pics (your own are best).

I'll start:

My own attempt at faithfully recreating an In-N-Out Double Double, Animal Style:

One of my regional (Akron, OH) favorites, the Galley Boy from Swenson's:

I grew up near InO store #3, so there's a soft spot in my heart for them, but now there are gourmet burger joints all around Miami and it's hard pick one, let alone get these big burgers crammed into my pie hole.

I just went to Michael's Genuine Food & Drink in the Miami Design District and Bon Appetit voted his one of the top 10 burgers in America a few months back and it was pretty good.  Uses Harris Ranch (I-5 between L.A. and San Fran.) beef and applewood bacon.

My homemade sliders. It was cooked with bacon and cheese inside the patty and then on top more cheese, caramelized onions, and chipotle mayonnaise.

First pic is from Valley View golf course in Akron. Minimalist but I love 'em!

Uh, the second pic is a sort of fail. I grind my own burger patties at home; but I can't find any recent photos. So you'll have to make due with a different type of meat!

Haze gray and underway...  This thread is, depressingly, the closest I'll get to a good burger for quite some time (though I did find a half-way decent burger joint in Sasebo - Log Kit or something of the sort).

Sometimes, I prefer the griddle.

Favorite restaurant burger? Milo's stands out, as my grandma used to buy about 20 of them, stash the bag on her dash, and make the 10 hour drive to visit. When she'd get to my house, I'd eat 5 of the damn things. They looked worse off than the pic below.
