Just got back from a 8 day vacation , well really 5 day vacation.

Left for FL on Wed for daughters beach wedding, Thurs-Sat getting things setup for the wedding, just a few hours a day off at the beach. I enjoyed

Wedding Sat evening, very beautiful.   Enjoyed that.

Sun-Wed, vacation stuff - go to the beach, out to eat, other tourist stuff. Time mostly wasted, days dragged by

Today back to work day flies by

I'll die within a month if I retire

I worked 39 hours last week and 44 this week and I was on vacation.

Gotta buy a couple new cans somehow.

After working a 60 hour work week for a year it felt like I was on vacation.

Find a hobby that offers real challenges to attain competence.
Wood working, metal working/machining, ham radio, horse back riding...( I hear that one has some exciting fringe benefits/pitfalls)

I work 40 hrs a week, then spend my weekends doing landscaping for family for wallet money.  My free time is on the weekdays after work before bed.

Soon I'll have that g19 in my hands though

Yeah, I'd be upset if I considered FL to be a vacation spot too.

I work about 32 hours a week and have the rest of the time to myself.

Working is over rated.

I did 2-3 hours each day as well, only so much I can do via remote access.

I did enjoy spending time with my wife, kids, and grand kids. But 12 hours a day, i quickly run out of things to do/say.

I don't really go for the tourist trap kinda stuff .

My idea of a vacation is a week at my parents' house in PA, with nothing to do and 54 acres to shoot on.

As far as I'm concerned, sand looks like sand and rocks look like rocks and trees look like trees. I'd rather spend quality time with the people I love.

I limit my vacations with family to 3 days for this reason.. I don't do bored.  My favorite vacation is throwing my crap in the trunk, putting the top down, and picking a direction.. I've seen some pretty cool shit this way, and I'm not at anyone else's beck and call.  Can't bring the wife though, she gets sidetracked too easily, wants to buy more crap than will fit in the trunk, and has to stop and pee every two hours.

I'm debating going to the Smithsonian and spending a few days there, but it's in enemy territory.  Maybe go to Cape Kennedy again, but driving a Miata around bluehairs is a sobering experience.  Maybe go to Wright Pat and see their awesome museum.

I don't have time for work, even though I average 50+ hours a week.

My hobbies have been severely neglected the last few years.

I can't wait to retire.

It would take me at least six days to decompress, and then two weeks to get back up to speed.

Don't feel bad.

My coworker used an internet service to find the best price on hotels in Cape Cod, and he booked his anniversary celebration at the Boatslip.

He did not know why we were all laughing at him.
