Sad indeed.

I know if I had teens in the house I'd make it abundantly clear that they shouldn't try to sneak in because they might get shot, not grounded.

ETA: WTF is " Colorado's "make my day" law"?

The slang term comes from the Dirty Harry movie. I am sure it was dubbed that
